National Wellness Week: on Financial Health

Each day during SAMHSA‘s National Wellness Week, we are looking at one of the Eight Dimensions of Wellness.

Today we look at Financial Health – Satisfaction with current and future financial situations.

Some ideas on how to improve our financial health from people attending the September Action Group meeting included these:

  • Spending time budgeting.
  • Making conscious decisions regarding spending and budgeting.
  • Planning and preparing for future circumstances.
  • I will pay my bills first and then prioritize my money for fun activities.
  • Look for a job.
  • Save for a special event.
