Effective January 1, 2014, Northern Lakes Community Mental Health Authority became part of the Northern Michigan Regional Entity (NMRE) which manages the Medicaid mental health benefit and an array of Substance Abuse Services for persons living in 21 Northern Michigan counties shown here.

Healthy Michigan is Michigan’s Medicaid expansion program plan. Here are a few helpful numbers:

  • Michigan’s Affordable Care Act healthcare helpline is 855-789-5610
  • Michigan’s Medicaid application assistance helpline is 855-276-4627. People can be assisted to complete a Medicaid application at this number.
