Peer to peer advice on video on fighting heart disease

Some peers in Georgia from the Cobb & Douglas Community Service Boards received a SAMHSA Million Hearts Initiative grant to create a peer-driven video for consumers and providers to use in combating cardiovascular disease and strokes.

The video, called “One In A Million,” is 15 minutes long and contains information on ways to lead a heart healthy life and how to take the Million Hearts Pledge. It starts out with facts and figures and then includes a lot of great, practical advice for all of us, told by people who have been there!

It also includes some comments by Larry Fricks from the Appalachian Consulting Group, who has done a lot of training for our consumers and staff on recovery.
