Grace – by Lee Ann Tuller

A grace in every face
Nowhere is a scar face
Disheveled the hair may be
With dirt on the face
Though the rags on show
When people see this of anyone
Do they realize this person
Is someone’s son or daughter
Are they so blind?
That there is no grace and love to abide
Is true love so hard to hide?
Only with too much false pride
It seems like such is all in the countryside
