Your Participating Provider Agreement with NLCMHA requires that provider employees, volunteers and contractual agents (referred to hereafter as “Workforce Members”) successfully complete initial and ongoing Recipient Rights training in compliance with the NLCMHA Training Plan.

INTRODUCTION TO RECIPIENT RIGHTS – Self-Study Training

All Providers and their Workforce Members must successfully complete the NLCMHA self-study training “Introduction to Recipient Rights” and test within 30 days of hire. This training is meant to serve as an orientation to Recipient Rights for ALL Workforce Members, regardless of job function.

Provider agencies will receive one copy of the test answer sheet for this training during contract orientation. It is the provider’s responsibility to ensure that each newly hired Workforce Member completes this training and successfully completes the test within 30 days. The Provider must grade the tests, maintain them at each provider site, and make them readily available for review during Recipient Rights site visits. All other providers must submit their complete test answer sheet to the Office of Recipient Rights.
