The 18th Annual Art of Recovery: The Human Journey Show now completed
Thank you to the Traverse Area District Library for hosting the 18th Annual Northern Community Mental Health (NLCMH) Art of Recovery: The Human Journey show in November.
This show celebrates the healing power and resilience of people, and is designed to combat stigma and demonstrate that we are all in this human journey together.
NO MATTER WHAT the challenge – mental illness, substance abuse, grief, loss, domestic violence, divorce – we all have struggles sometimes and we are resilient people who are all in this journey together. Sometimes people are filled with relief to see that they are not alone and realize that others have grappled with similar challenges and experienced some of the same things they do. We have heard over and over that this show empowers us!
Congratulations to everyone who participated by submitting art or viewing the art during the show.
If you submitted art to the show, please plan to pick it up at our Traverse City office (105 Hall Street) by December 5. If you submitted art to another one of our offices, we will transport it back to that office for pick up.
