Northern Lakes Community Mental Health Authority (NLCMHA) will hold its Annual Public Hearing on September 10 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at each of its offices and virtually.

The in-person locations will be:

• Traverse City – 105 Hall Street

• Cadillac – 527 Cobb Street

• Houghton Lake – 2715 South Townline Road

• Grayling – 204 Meadows Drive

The link to attend virtually is https://tinyurl.com/2aewfwdh.

Held each year, the Public Hearing is an opportunity for community members to give input to help NLCMHA assess the needs and gaps of service in its local communities. The input received will be used in the Board of Directors’ Strategic Planning process.

The format will include an introduction by Chief Executive Officer Lynda Zeller, and Board of Directors Chairperson, Greg McMorrow, followed by breakout sessions in each location. People attending virtually will be able to choose to join which of the four breakout sessions they prefer.

Community members may also provide input in writing if they are unable to attend by emailing input to Hilary Rappuhn at hilary.rappuhn@nlcmh.org or mailing to her attention at NLCMHA, 105 Hall St, Ste A, Traverse City, MI 49684.

NLCMHA serves adults with serious mental illness, persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities, children with serious emotional disturbance, and those with co-occurring substance use disorders (as defined by the Michigan Mental Health Code) in six counties: Crawford, Grand Traverse, Leelanau, Missaukee, Roscommon, and Wexford.

In addition, NLCMHA provides crisis intervention services for anyone in the community experiencing a mental health crisis, regardless of insurance.
