Positive Behaviors
Club Cadillac is a Clubhouse Model Rehabilitation Program which provides the members with meaningful work during the day, employment opportunities, access to safe and affordable housing, social and educational opportunities, and friendships. Using the standards of the International Center for Clubhouse Development (ICCD), Club Cadillac is modeled after Fountain House in New York City.
Club Cadillac guarantees certain rights to its members:
- The right to a place to come
- The right to meaningful relationships
- The right to meaningful work
Staff and members work side-by-side to perform the necessary work of the clubhouse. Working during the day at the clubhouse helps members focus on their strengths and talents. This helps to restore self-confidence and reestablish a feeling of self-worth.
Club Cadillac has a goal to concentrate on the recovery of the member and not the illness.

- The Member Services Unit
- The Food Service Unit
Members and staff working together run the clubhouse. Through daily involvement, members can begin to develop a sense of belonging and can build self-esteem. Also at the clubhouse, members have the opportunity to socialize with others and can work on developing long-lasting friendships.
For those members who are interested in getting a job or returning to school, the clubhouse helps prepare members for this challenge.

Transitional Employment Program (TEP)
The Transitional Employment Program at Club Cadillac provides the opportunity for all members to be introduced or reintroduced to working. Club Cadillac has secured part-time job placements with local businesses. These job experiences are time-limited and last from 6 to 9 months. Members can choose to participate in the Transitional Employment Program and are provided with a real work experience. Members can return to work, earn a good wage, expand their experiences, and obtain good job references. Club Cadillac supports members throughout their TE experience by providing on-the-job training, supervision, and support. All members have the opportunity to try a variety of Transitional Employment positions while at Club Cadillac.

For members who have successfully completed TE placements, Club Cadillac offers assistance in finding independent employment. Club Cadillac staff will help members look through the classified ads to find a job they are interested in. Staff assist members in filling out applications and writing resumes. If the member wants assistance, staff will accompany members on job interviews and be the first to congratulate them when they obtain independent employment. Should problems arise with regard to Social Security issues for the member who is independently working, staff will assist the member with issues that arise. When those members who are working independently have a day off they are encouraged to come to Club Cadillac for support.
