Wow! You have been on an amazing journey. I had no idea that you have had all of the health problems that you do. I have often said that I am so grateful for my physical health and I could not imagine struggling with both mental and physical problems at the same time. I can understand why you withdrew into the woods- but we are sure lucky that you wanted to recover and you are here with us, advocating for so many that need you and your ambitions!
May God bless you always,
Michelle Fisher

I have witnessed the dedication first hand of Ernie's incredible journey towards his own personal empowerment and his daily committment to advocacy to empower others. It has been a true pleasure to work with Ernie as he always strives to do more, even when his medical issues would stop others in their tracks, he just pushes forward toward his personal goals. He has taught me much in my position of case management at NLCMH as he opens up about his personal struggles and his continued fight for balance in his life.

Ernie, you are a true inspiration to others and a real life hero as you continue to "walk the walk and talk the talk" and encourage so many others to take the first steps through their own journey. I thank you and wish you continued peace and happiness.

With Respect, Julie Weiss

It takes a great deal of courage and resilience to put your story out there in this way. I am certain you will inspire others to dare to hope. Recovery is possible!

I have had the pleasure of serving with Ernie on the CESA Committee of NDRN for the past year. It was heartening to read his story. Congratulations on your recovery site! I will be sending information on your site to Indiana's Department of Mental Health and Addictions in the hope that they will encourage our mental health centers to do something similar.
