Clinical Therapist (DD/ASD)

Requirements of Position- Masters degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field. Advanced training in functional analysis/principles of behavior treatment if degree is not primarily behavioral psychology focused. Meets Michigan Medicaid QMRP and CMHP criteria. Licensure with the State of Michigan as a fully licensed Psychologist, LPC or  LMSW.  Licensure in the State of Michigan at the limited level or temporary limited licensure may be considered dependent upon supervision and ability. Must maintain licensure.

Position Responsibilities- This is a clinical position responsible for assessment, intervention, training and evaluation related to services to children and youth who have Developmental Disabilities (DD), including Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) as well as children who have dual disorders, i.e. DD and Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED) and their families.  Includes training and support for provider staff, families and caregivers.  Works with partners including the child and family system, schools, healthcare providers, courts and law enforcement and the child welfare system.  Maintains the well-being of children and families served, and provides respect and confidentiality for all.  Demonstrates creativity, flexibility, self-motivation, time management skills, observational skills, analytical skills, energy, and effective teamwork.  Conducts functional behavioral analysis, generates related behavioral plans, provides training and monitoring of the plans, and ensures the effective implementation of programming for children and youth they serve.  Demonstrates sound professional judgment at all times.  Experience in evaluation and treatment of children with serious behavioral problems and Autism spectrum disorder required. Reports to the Operations Manager, as assigned. This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. This position location to be determined (Cadillac, Houghton Lake or Grayling).
