Home Based Family Therapist (Houghton Lake and Grayling Location)
Requirements of Position- Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Licensed Professional Counselor from an accredited university, or a Degree in Nursing. One year experience in the provision of direct therapeutic services to children and families preferred. Must have licensure with the State of Michigan as a fully licensed professional: Licensed Masters Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor or Psychologist preferred. Limited Licensed Masters Social Worker, Limited Licensed Professional Counselor, or Masters Limited Psychologist considered. Must maintain licensure.
Position Responsibilities- This is a professional position that provides therapeutic services to children and adolescents and their families as needed. Services provided include conducting assessments, making diagnoses, development of treatment plans, providing individual and family therapy, monitoring of progress, and documentation of services. Additionally, this position will be involved in collaboration and consultation with other community human service agencies and schools. Home Based services is an intensive service program that typically takes place in the family home or in other community-based locations. This position is located in either Grayling or Houghton Lake.
